our history
the poWer of dreams
In 1979 Manuel López López visits the province of Mendoza for the first time. As a Spaniard sensitive to wine culture, he decides to acquire a historic property abandoned in the midst of the Argentine wine crisis, with the conviction of rescuing that wine treasure and restoring the ruins of a century-old winery. Betting on nature, effort and patience. For when the vineyard is an ally of man and time, only extraordinary things can happen.
This dream needed a name, so it was named after the patron saint of Spain and, at the same time, of Mendoza. A foreboding or coincidence that symbolizes the pride of a Spanish immigrant for his roots, and the deepest respect for the land chosen to live in.
